Sep – 2025: Anurag University and ShutterSociety.HYD Collaboration, Photography Workshop and Competition
Our mission of bringing photography beyond photowalks and into academia had just begun. In September 2025, another exciting chapter unfolded as ShutterSociety.HYD partnered with Anurag University for a Photography Workshop and Competition, continuing our journey of inspiring the next generation of photographers.
Building on the momentum of our first academic collaboration, it was encouraging to see another university recognize the purpose behind our community. Anurag University reached out to collaborate with ShutterSociety.HYD as part of their photography workshop and competition, creating an opportunity to connect students with a wider community of passionate photographers. It was another proud milestone for a community that had started only a few months earlier with a simple vision of bringing photographers together through learning, sharing, and creativity.
As part of the collaboration, Anurag University officially opened photography submissions for members of ShutterSociety.HYD, allowing our community photographers to participate in the university’s photography competition and exhibition.
We shared the official announcement with our members, encouraged everyone to participate, and were delighted to see photographers from different backgrounds enthusiastically submitting their work. Opportunities like these motivate photographers to challenge themselves, showcase their creativity, and gain recognition beyond regular photowalks.

Although this collaboration was more focused on the university’s internal workshop and competition, several members of our community visited the campus to attend the sessions, interact with fellow photography enthusiasts, and experience the event firsthand. Every academic collaboration like this strengthens the connection between educational institutions and passionate photography communities, creating more opportunities for students and aspiring photographers to learn from one another.
Success is best measured by how many opportunities you create for others.
What made this collaboration truly meaningful was not the size of the event, but the trust that another educational institution placed in our young community. It reaffirmed that ShutterSociety.HYD was steadily becoming more than a meetup group. It was evolving into a platform where photographers could learn, collaborate, and discover new opportunities through meaningful partnerships.
We sincerely thank the management, faculty members, event organizers, and students of Anurag University for believing in our vision and inviting ShutterSociety.HYD to be part of this wonderful initiative.
