June – 2026: Sakshi Newspaper Features ShutterSociety.HYD’s Pochampally Photography Trip
It is always a proud and encouraging moment when the efforts of a community are recognized by the media. We are delighted to share that our Pochampally Photography Trip was featured in Sakshi Newspaper, helping us reach a wider audience and showcase the passion, creativity, and community spirit behind ShutterSociety.HYD.

Photography becomes truly meaningful when it preserves stories, celebrates culture, and brings people together.

The newspaper covered our one day photography trip to Bhoodan Pochampally, where around 40 photographers from our community explored the village in collaboration with the Telangana Tourism Department.
Members documented the intricate Ikat weaving process, yarn dyeing, heritage homes, skilled artisans, and the vibrant everyday life of the village.
Through this feature, Sakshi highlighted our shared effort to preserve and promote Telangana’s rich cultural heritage, encouraging more people to discover the stories, traditions, and craftsmanship that make these destinations truly unique.
Photography has the power to preserve culture, connect communities, and tell stories that deserve to be remembered.
This belief is at the heart of everything we do at ShutterSociety.HYD. As a non commercial photography community, our mission goes beyond organizing photowalks.
We aim to create meaningful learning experiences, encourage visual storytelling, document local heritage, and inspire photographers to use their cameras to celebrate the people, traditions, and places that make our communities special.
As a non commercial photography community, our mission goes beyond photography. We strive to preserve culture, encourage learning, and give back to the communities that welcome us with warmth and kindness.
During our Pochampally Photography Trip, we returned printed photographs to the artisans and gifted them Karachi Fruit Biscuits as a heartfelt token of gratitude for sharing their craft, stories, and time with us. We believe photography is not only about capturing beautiful moments but also about creating meaningful connections and leaving behind smiles that last far beyond the photographs themselves.
We believe that whenever we step into someone’s home, workplace, or personal space to document their lives, we should leave with more than just photographs.
Giving back is our way of expressing respect and appreciation for the trust, hospitality, and warmth they extend to us. It is never about charity, but about honoring the people whose stories make our photographs meaningful.

Recognition is not the destination. It is a reminder that meaningful stories deserve to be seen, shared, and remembered.
We sincerely thank Sakshi Newspaper for featuring our community and helping share the story of photography, heritage, and cultural preservation with a wider audience.
