June – 2026: ETV Bharat Web Article Features ShutterSociety.HYD’s Pochampally Photography Trip
We are delighted to share that ETV Bharat, one of India’s leading multilingual digital news platforms, featured ShutterSociety.HYD’s Pochampally Photography Trip. Being recognized by a prominent national digital media platform is a proud milestone for our community and reflects our continued efforts to document Telangana’s rich heritage, celebrate its artisans, and inspire meaningful visual storytelling through photography.

The ETV Bharat article highlighted the visit of nearly 40 professional photographers from ShutterSociety.HYD to Bhoodan Pochampally as part of a special photography initiative organized in collaboration with the Telangana Tourism Department. During the visit, our members explored the Pochampally Rural Tourism Centre, one of the most celebrated destinations known for its world famous Pochampally Ikat tie and dye handloom tradition.
Throughout the day, photographers documented the weaving process, traditional craftsmanship, and the everyday lives of the artisans and rural community, creating visual stories that celebrate the village’s cultural identity. The article also mentioned that these photographs were shared through the Telangana Tourism Department and ShutterSociety.HYD platforms to help showcase the beauty and heritage of Pochampally to a wider audience.

ShutterSociety.HYD is a non commercial photography community built on the belief that photography is more than creating beautiful images. Our mission is to bring photographers together to learn, explore, preserve culture, and tell meaningful visual stories while building lasting friendships.
Through collaborations with the Telangana Tourism Department, we strive to showcase Telangana’s hidden destinations, talented artisans, and unique traditions.
Beyond photography, we are equally committed to Giving Back. Whenever we are welcomed into someone’s home, workplace, or community, we believe in expressing our gratitude with respect.
During our Pochampally visit, we returned printed photographs and gifted Karachi Fruit Biscuits to the artisans as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, not as charity, but as a way of honoring the people whose stories make our photographs meaningful.
When heritage is documented with purpose and shared through the media, its stories continue to inspire generations beyond the moment they were captured.
