June – 2026: Namaste Telangana Newspaper Features ShutterSociety.HYD’s Pochampally Photography Trip
We are delighted to share another proud milestone for ShutterSociety.HYD as our Pochampally Photography Trip was featured by Namaste Telangana, one of Telangana’s leading Telugu daily newspapers. This recognition reflects our community’s commitment to documenting the state’s rich heritage, celebrating its artisans, and using photography as a meaningful medium to preserve and promote local culture.

The newspaper highlighted our one day photography visit to Bhoodan Pochampally, organized in collaboration with the Telangana Tourism Department, where photographers from across Hyderabad came together to explore one of India’s most iconic handloom villages.
The feature showcased our members documenting the traditional Ikat weaving process, local artisans, village life, and the timeless craftsmanship that has made Pochampally famous around the world.
Through this coverage, the newspaper emphasized how photography can become a powerful medium for preserving culture and inspiring more people to appreciate Telangana’s heritage.
ShutterSociety.HYD is a non commercial photography community built on the belief that photography is more than creating beautiful images.

Our mission is to bring photographers together to learn, explore, preserve culture, and tell meaningful visual stories while building lasting friendships. Through collaborations with the Telangana Tourism Department, we strive to showcase Telangana’s hidden destinations, talented artisans, and unique traditions.
Beyond photography, we are equally committed to Giving Back. Whenever we are welcomed into someone’s home, workplace, or community, we believe in expressing our gratitude with respect. During our Pochampally visit, we returned printed photographs and gifted Karachi Fruit Biscuits to the artisans as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, not as charity, but as a way of honoring the people whose stories make our photographs meaningful.
When heritage is documented with purpose and shared through the media, its stories continue to inspire generations beyond the moment they were captured.
